The Calendula Kid Balm

Hi, my name is Leo.
I’m 11 years old and in Year 7. Last year, when I was in Year 6, I joined a club where we learned how to make calendula ointment. I really enjoyed it and thought, “Hey! I could make this myself and sell it!”

So that’s exactly what I did. I grew the calendula flowers myself, carefully dried them, and infused them in natural olive oil for 3 months. I then combined the infused oil with organic beeswax and vitamin E oil to create a nourishing balm with a stable shelf life.

Calendula has been used for generations because of its calming and skin-soothing properties. It is known to help moisturise and protect the skin while supporting the healing of dry, cracked, irritated, or sensitive areas. Many people use calendula balm to help soothe eczema, nappy rash, minor cuts and scrapes, chapped lips, insect bites, sunburn, and rough or inflamed skin. It is gentle enough for sensitive skin and can even be used on pets.
