I am in my third-year massaging for the Chiefs and have experience with the All Blacks and other international sports teams for the past 4 years. I love helping people ease aches and pains through massage allowing you to get back to daily activities with ease. Infrared Light Therapy - Massage add on

Infrared light helps cells regenerate or repair themselves. Infrared light also improves the circulation of oxygen-rich blood in the body, promoting faster healing of deep tissues and relieving pain. The light penetrates below the skin layers, providing a much greater depth which is able to effectively provide pain relief without damaging the skin through UV radiation. Infrared light has shown immense health benefits from pain relief to reducing inflammation.

Studio 415 - Spray Tanning

We have shades for every skin type. From “Super Natural” to “Ultra Dark” and everything in between. We specialise in custom colour tans, because spray tans are not ‘one size fits all’- we consider your skin tone, undertones, and desired level of darkness. We follow every Tan with a unique natural organic Drying Powder that smells amazing, has the perfect amount of shimmer, but more importantly keeps bronzers from smudging and leaves you feeling dry after your spray tan application. Our spray tans have a quick processing time of 1 to 4 hours.

We are body positive at Studio 415 - Everyone is welcome! If you are 16 years or younger you will need to bring a parent or guardian to your first appointment for consent.

Spray Tanning Preparation & Aftercare

Tan Preperation

Exfoliate -
For spray tanning, the evening before your tan exfoliate your entire body. Pay special attention to the dryer areas of your body such as hands, elbows, feet and knees. This will help to prolong your spray tan.

Wax or Shave your armpits and legs -
Shaving and waxing should be done 24 hours prior to your Spray Tan as this will ensure all of your pores are closed otherwise your tan may become blotchy. Always shave before exfoliating as the moisture strip on razors can leave a film on the skin

Your spray tan session should be your last spa appointment. Complete all other appointments prior to your spray tan (nails, hair, massages, facials, etc).

Please note our tanning solutions do contain traces of nuts.

Day Of Appointment

Arrive to your spray tanning session free of any barriers, including makeup, deodorant, lotion, and body sprays/perfumes. These create a barrier on your skin and does not mix well with our spray solution. It’s best to shower 4+ hours in advance, but if you need to closer to your appointment - skip the soap and rinse very well using a cold burst of water (this will close your pores and avoid freckling)

Bring loose, dark clothing to wear after your session. Tight clothing will rub against your skin which may cause an uneven tan.

If you have a swimsuit you’d like to wear, please bring that or you may opt for no tan-lines and go nude— whatever you’re most comfortable with and provides the desired look you’re going for. I provide disposable G-strings, hairnets and foot protectors, if needed. I do not provide coverage for top.

*Men are not permitted to go nude at Studio 415, please plan accordingly. 

Studio 415 will not be held responsible for undesirable results if proper prep and maintenance steps are not followed.

Post Tan

Allow your Tan to develop - Your spray tan will need to stay on the skin to develop for 1 - 4 hours. I will advise you on your appropriate rise time at your appointment for your desired result.

For your first shower after your tan use NO soaps or body wash. Rinse the skin well with a flat hand and luke warm water. (No scrubbing). After 12 hours you can shower with soaps as normal. You can shave gently. Pat the skin dry with a towel after showering. Do not rub the skin.

Any streaks after showering means you haven't rinsed well enough. The water will be brown, do not be alarmed this is the bronzer from the tan rinsing off. This allows me to see the tan as its being applied.

You will be given a paper copy of this information at your first Spray tan appointment!

Maintenance

Keeping your skin moisturised is the key to maintaining an amazing long lasting colour. Moisturise your skin morning and night and make sure to dink plenty of water.

Hot showers, spa's, pools, chlorine and sand will fade the colour of your tan faster.

Excessive sweating will naturally exfoliate your tan in some areas.

If you are a regular tanner please make sure to exfoliate your previous tan off prior to a new application.

SPRAY TANS TO NOT CONTAIN SPF. Please ensure you wear sunblock when outside!!!
